Journal #8

Collaboration, in my opinion is working together to produce a desired final product. Whether it be mixing ideas, or simply one editing another's work, collaboration is key to producing a more streamlined piece. For example, you may be doing a paper for this class and end up doing too much within the essay. If you collaborated with another your partner could possibly point out that fact while your doing the paper saving you some trouble, as well as giving you ideas on how to potentially streamline it and improve. Collaboration as brings another's viewpoint to light so you can see the subject from another's perspective. An example of this is found in Peer Review and Workshopping.

You may have one belief while your peer has another and through collaboration you could possibly make a paper that can highlight both views, or even mix said views to fully cover the subject in question. Collaboration is also good when it comes to checking for mistakes. Just like when a book is being published, papers also need to be proofed for errors and have corrections made. Through collaboration things like this become possible as there are more participants involved in the final product which increases the efficiency chances of the final paper/article.
