I agree with Sydnee in saying that the people of Shenandoah National Park should be considered writers. In addition to the fact that the collection letters served as means of expressing their thoughts and feelings, and as a way to convey a message or a point, they are now a part of the park's public archive, in order to show the relationship between the government and the, and telling individual stories of the Virginia mountaineers, and the people of the Shenandoah National Park. Since they have now been made public, and could be seen by anyone, they would be considered pieces of published work, which should most defiantly classify them as 'writers', despite the fact that there are many spelling and grammatical errors, and even if they do not receive residuals for their work.
