Journal #1 Rhetorical Writing vs Genre

Rhetorical writing, in my opinion, seems to be a writing that is as described earlier "a form of writing that is in the present state." I refer  to this as writing of  the "here and now" of the person writing. Genre, however, is a writing that takes on a different area. For instance there are many different genres of writing such as Fiction, Non-Fiction, and Biographies. These genres can also be subdivided into different topics like Mystery, Comedy, etc..to fit the potential needs of the writer and their mood for which the piece was written.

As mentioned by earlier classmates, we must question these things in order to truly define everyday writing. "Which rhetoric should be used?", or "Which genre fits my everyday?", can be applied by the writer to truly create a piece which fits their personal definition of everyday writing.
